🌒 The Beauty in Goodbye

When Doing What’s Right Hurts
by Daisy Sun, The Black Girl Bruja

Sometimes doing the right thing for you hurts.
Sometimes it makes you cry.
Sometimes it leaves you trembling in bed, mourning something you prayed would last.
But that doesn’t mean it was the wrong decision.

Beloved, this is purge season.
A sacred, divinely-timed shedding to make room for everything new.
Yes, it hurts.
But yes—it is so necessary.

You see, transition is one of the hardest parts of the spiritual walk.
We cry. We grieve. We question ourselves.
But how else can you grow if you never go?
How else can the Universe pour into your lap the blessings you’ve cried for…
if your hands are still full of things that aren’t aligned?

If only you could glimpse where you’re headed—
the abundance, the peace, the partnerships, the purpose…
You’d drop that heavy burden and run full speed toward your destiny.

But we hold on.
Out of fear.
Out of guilt.
Out of nostalgia.

And yet, your soul is ready.
It’s time to stop settling for almost good enough and reach for God’s best.

“Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.”
—Luke 9:60 (KJV)

You made a choice that cracked your heart wide open.
And still—
You are on holy ground.
This pain is part of your resurrection.

Yes, you will grieve.
Yes, you will cry.
Yes, you may even beg God to change the story.

🧳 Time for the Unpacking Session

Before you enter your next chapter, take time to sit with yourself and ask:

  • How did I get here?
  • What energies pushed me into that space?
  • What did I learn from the experience?
  • What will I do differently next time?
  • Where do I still need to forgive myself?
  • What environments or people trigger me—and am I ready to walk away from those cycles?

Healing is not perfection.
Healing is peace.
It’s the moment when the same trigger no longer causes chaos.
When you can remember it without reliving it.
When you can acknowledge it without self-sabotage.

🌱 Elevation Requires Purity of Spirit

To truly walk in your blessing, you must:

  • Clear the inner clutter.
  • Release the patterns that blocked you before.
  • Stop answering to the version of yourself that no longer exists.

You can’t attract divine partnership, purposeful work, or supernatural provision if you’re still thinking like a woman stuck in spiritual defense mode.

🕊 Your Blessing Needs a Healed You

Come in whole.
Come in wise.
Come in aware.

Because blessings don’t just show up—
They respond to the frequency you’re on.
And when your spirit is healed, your blessings feel safe to land.

So take the time.
Do the work.
Unpack the pain.
Break the habits.
Cry if you must.
But come in healed.

Because everything you asked for is waiting for the healed, healthy, whole version of you.

Hi, I’m Daisy — it’s so good to meet you! 🌻 I’ve arrived at this chapter in my life through a whole lot of trial, error, and yes… growth. My spiritual foundation was built on dual roots: I was raised in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, and I also had the unique blessing of attending a Spiritualist Church from a young age. I often say I got to experience the best of both worlds — and both traditions have deeply shaped the woman and the spiritual practitioner I am today. Now, I don’t call myself a psychic, but I’ve always had a sense — a knowing — that I was tuned into something deeper. I could feel things coming before they happened. Not lottery numbers (I wish!), but those vivid déjà vu moments and spiritual nudges that were just too clear to ignore. Over time, that connection began to deepen. During periods of stress or transition, I started meeting my ancestors in dreams — real conversations, real presence. My grandmother, my great-grandmother, my mom, even my Aunt CB — my Great Grandmother’s sister — have all shown up. Sometimes it’s just a warm visit. Other times, they come bearing wisdom from beyond. These women are my roots. My people. My Divine Team. After years of learning how to listen — really listen — to my guides and my higher self, I now stand grounded and confident in my ability to receive and interpret messages from the spirit world. Not just for myself, but for others, too.
